Aquamarine is the gemstone for March celebrations. Like the pure color of the sea, Aquamarine gemstones appear to change colors ranging from blue to green to nearly clear,  when seen from different angles. It is considered the emerald of the Beryl family of stones.

It is said that this precious gemstone aids the liver, throat, stomach, jaw, teeth, eyes, and ears. Aquamarine is also known for releasing fear, calming nerves, and bringing mental clarity.

The finest aquamarine gemstones are found in Brazil, but some are also found in Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the USA, and Nigeria. The darkest blue color is found in Madagascar. It is often thought to symbolize unconditional love.
